my life is coming together. Today I got a phone call from a man at Mt. Rainier National Park. He has a job for me!!!! I am so freaking excited. He said he would start working on my application today. This is going to be the BEST summer of my life. Hands down.

I am freaking excited for this summer. I will soon be a college graduate with a completely useless degree (anthropology) but I don't care.... I will finally be freeeee!!!

Plans are already being made. One of my best friends will be working in Yosemite till September so there will be numerous roadtrips to go visit her.

AND I am currently planning a trip to Bisbee Arizona. What is there? I don't really know. My friend went there when she was young and it left her with a pleasant feeling. I like pleasant feelings and even more important I like new places. I even get excited when I go two cities over and it's new. I love the unknown. That's why roadtrips are so wonderful. They are so unpredictable. Anything can happen when you're on the road!!

Who knows, maybe my tire will blow out and it just so happens that saaaaay a tour bus is driving by. So they stop for us and give us a ride. And they say, hey, we just so happen to be looking for a tambourine player and a cowbell lady. Do you know anyone who might be interested? AHHH!!!

Ok I'm getting off track. My point is, summer is rapidly approaching and I have never been more excited. :)

Makalowski is an up and coming artist who was born in Poland, but is currently living in Long Beach, California. I absolutely love the portraits he does, especially how real the expressions are. They sorta remind me of the characters from the game, Guess Who? He also has a really interesting take on color. Keep an eye out for him in the future!

It's the perfect way to start off the day, surrounded by friends, excellent food (I do A LOT of research trying to finding the best breakfast joint) AND the club is growing. 6 weeks left of school and I don't have a clue what I'm gonna do once I graduate.

I have so many thoughts about just running away. Why is it that the future is always so terrifying? My mom told me 10 people were laid off at her work yesterday. If people can not even keep there jobs, how the hell am i supposed to find a job?

These are some ideas I have been kicking around.

1) work at Yosemite (mailed in my app... and waiting)

2) join the peace corps.

3) find an internship.

4) be a nomad, travel the country with Kramer and work odd jobs to make enough money to get by.

5) try and be a substitute teacher.

6) work the streets for money (only if I'm desperate) (kidding...) (sort of) (kidding about "sort of")

7) cry till someone gives me a job.

8) ........daaahh give up and live at home till I'm 40.

Any other ideas?

I've always consider myself to be fairly intuitive person. I tend to pick up on subtle details about individuals that usually slip past others. However, the problem I am faced with always ends up being.. what do I do with this knowledge? How to I reach out? This is where my social skills fall flat. I can sympathize with the person, understand where they are coming from, but when it comes to putting this into something verbal and coherent, I fail. And that, I am sorry for. Perhaps all I really have to offer is a pair of listening ears and a shoulder to cry on.

p.s. my jazz/big band collection is coming along nicely. Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, and Benny Goodman. But I will never forget my leading lady, Billie Holiday. The woman who sparked my curiosity in those old time blues and gave my mornings some much needed soul.

This video is pretty sweet as well.

I'm starting to realize lately that I do not require a lot to be happy. The way I choose to spend my days would be considered boring to many, but to me it is bliss. Laying on the floor, my bed etc. and listening to music. That is it. That is all I need to be happy. I fucking love music. To answer that question, would I rather be deaf or blind I would with a doubt choose to be blind. I can not imagine never hearing another melody. Just the thought of that gives me shudders. So really, this blog goes out to every musician that makes my days livable. Allows me to breath. To move. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am officially addicted to coffee. Not only do I now crave it every morning, I have started dreaming about it... warm and comforting as the caffeine surges through my veins. I find myself impatiently waiting for the feeling it leaves me with. Without my morning cup of java I am irritable, ready to strike at anyone who gets in my way. 

Perfect example, today in biology (my lovely 9 a.m. class) I happened to sit in-front of some particularly chatty individuals who felt that is was more important to discuss their weekend hookups than learn about the functions of photosynthesis. If only I had had time to pick up a steamy cup o' joe this morning, I would have been able to block them out and find peace. But no. Today there would be no peace. I slowly turned my head, raised one eyebrow and cleared my throat for all to hear. I had there attention. Time to strike. Hey bro, do you my shutting the pie-trap for maybe five minutes so I can hear the goddamn lecture? Oh, and have a lovely day. Yes. With lots of caffeine. So I would just like to say, thank you coffee. You keep me relatively sane and off the 10 o'clock news.

I love those movies that stay with you for days, the feelings still lingering. The Reader was magnificent. Tragic and heart-wrenching, I have not seen such passion in a movie in a long time. It was the perfect end to a rainy day.
